Free Basic and Intermediate Computer Classes!

CLASS 1 September 17th and 18th 9am-11am or 2pm-4pm
Power Up! Getting Started offers beginning students an opportunity to learn the basics of computers with hands on activities involving equipment hardware and software. At the conclusion of this class, participants will have the skills to identify parts of the computer; have a basic understanding of software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Class activities include use of a mouse, USB flash drive, web browser basics and information on setting up a Gmail account.
CLASS 2 September 24th and 25th 9am-11am or 2pm-4pm
Power Up! Getting Online offers beginning students an opportunity to learn the basics of using Internet search engines, browsers, and email with hands on activities. At the conclusion of this class, participants will have the skills to effectively search for news, information, and online tools and will have an established email account.
CLASS 3 October 1st and 2nd 9am-11am or 2pm-4pm
Power Up! Growing Your Business Online offers beginning students an opportunity to learn the basics of cloud computing, Google documents, blogs and websites, SEO and Google Analytics. At the conclusion of this class, participants will have the skills to effectively know the difference between websites and blogs, practical use of Google documents and cloud computing.
CLASS 4 October 8th and 9th 9am-11am or 2pm-4pm
Power Up! Social Media for Your Business offers beginning students an opportunity to learn the basics of Social Media Marketing using Facebook,Twitter and other tools. At the conclusion of this class, participants will have the skills to begin effectively using social media for their businesses.
