Last Remarkable Women Lecture This Saturday!
This Saturday, September 8th, from 1:30pm-3:30pm, author and historian Elizabeth Cunningham will speak on The Art and Lives of Mary Greene Blumenshein and Helen Blumenshein.
Elizabeth Cunningham , Author and Historian, will examine the career and life of the award-winning painter, illustrator and jewelry designer Mary Greene Blumenschein (the second Ameri-can woman to win medals for her painting at the Paris salon) through examples of her work, and the artistic achievements of her daughter Helen Greene Blumenschein, who was also a Taos histo-rian and amateur archaeologist. Members of the Blumenschein will be in attendance to add insights into the lives of Mary and Helen.
Join us in the Taos Public Library's community room for what's sure to be an interesting and informative look at two remarkable women in Taos' history. A great way to end another successful Summer lecture series!
