Sports fans are not the only ones angry at cycling legend Lance Armstrong. Book readers are, too. CNN reports on a class-action lawsuit against Armstrong and his book publishers accusing them of peddling fiction as fact. According to CNN, although the lawsuit does not specify monetary damages sought, it's pretty clear it will be "a lot more than the price of the book."
The Taos Public Library has several titles by and about Lance Armstrong - and more are sure to be published in the not-too-distant future. But we have no plans to move any of the existing non-fiction titles into the fiction section. Library Director George Jaramillo says, "Readers need to make their own decisions as to the authenticity of the books and the facts."
