The Taos Public Library is looking for “A Few Good
Films…” You love movies. Who doesn’t?
But we all have movies that we know we’re never going to watch again. But just
because it wasn’t your cup of tea, doesn’t mean that there might not be someone
else who would love to see it.
Taos Public Library
is holding its first annual DVD Movie Drive! From May 18th though May 25th,
we are accepting all DVD movie donations from old classics to recently released
films, including documentaries and television shows, that are in good
condition. If we can’t use the DVD it
will go to the Farmers Market book sale and all proceeds go back to the library
to help purchase other DVD’s for the collection.
The library checks out approximately 3,100 documentary and
movie DVD’s each month. With this high
usage the DVD’s become scratched and sometimes un-useable although they are
buffed and cleaned. Thus, the library
is constantly replacing the collection with new and donated movies. Donated DVD’s is a great source that keeps
our collection up to date and active.
In addition, we are always looking for suggestions to fill any holes in
the collection.
