Adventures de Taos lecture series concludes this Saturday, August 31st, from 1:30-3:30, with Phaedra Greenwood's talk and slide show about unexplained animal deaths and the UFO connection.
These odd animal deaths are often accompanied by reports of strange lights and/or “black helicopters” that re-portedly appear in the area either before or after the animal deaths. At one time the State of Colorado offered a $50,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest, but in spite of intense investigation of an estimated 10,000 UADs in the United States alone, no one has ever been prosecuted for these felonies or claimed the re-ward. And unexplained animal deaths continue today. Like crop circles and Bigfoot sightings, UADs are another great, unsolved mystery.
Greenwood is a freelance writer/videographer whose essays, stories and reviews have won awards from a number of literary magazines. Her memoir, Beside the Rio Hondo, published by Sunstone Press, was a Finalist for the New Mexico 2008 Book Award. She has also self-published a travel memoir called North With the Spring. As a journalist and columnist for The Taos News, she received two first place awards from the New Mexico Press Association for Best Columns and Best Review.
